How we work
How we work
Push Start Marketing has evolved into an established and respected business that offers traditional and online marketing, copywriting, website management, graphic design, PR and social media in Witney, Oxford and the surrounding counties.
We have been in existence since May 2013 and have grown from a freelancer at kitchen table HQ to a limited company employing two staff, two contractors and a small selection of highly valued suppliers. Although the business had changed since 2013 we don’t deviate from our original four core values.
01
Authentic lasting relationships
Through good and bad, honest, understanding and long term

02
Effective through to completion
Creating momentum, driving projects, communicating progress & providing closure
03
Continual learning
We don't know it all and are learning all the time. We pass this learning on where we can
04
Developing potential Potential in people, business and any opportunity we see for clients, suppliers and ourselves

What does this mean for you?
-
We are relationship driven, and all the good old-fashioned values, work ethics and successful collaboration that comes with that

-
A comprehensive offer in all online and traditional marketing areas, adapting budgets and plans with fluidity

-
A clear 'service level agreement' of what we will be doing for you, how we charge, our invoicing terms and your ownership of all we create for you

-
We are not too proud to outsource specialist help if required, or say no-can-do. For example, we do not do Pay-per-click and AdWords but have fantastic connections who do

-
Complete transparency of work, timings and ownership of accounts and monthly reports you'll actually understand

-
We will invest in our beliefs of what is possible for a client. Often absorbing costs into budget for advertising or websites if I really feel it will benefit the client and us long term

-
Where possible we want clients to feel they are part of the team, and empower them to do their marketing themselves if they want to. That boils down to the way they are treated, communicated with and the knowledge and training we are happy to give them

-
We are certainly not fearless, but we will always take the bull by the horns, eat the frog, carpe diem whether it is getting stuck into ‘boring’ tasks, dealing with difficult clients or mediating between an existing client and their previous agency.
Who we work with
We have clients from a wide range of industries from a romantic fiction writer to structural engineers to a phone accessory brand. We specialise in the client, not an industry, every client is different and wants different things. It might sound odd, and may be presumptuous, but we have learned what kind of clients we can work with and therefore be successful for and it's not down to what they do, it's how and why they do it.

"Dignity and integrity drives Push Start Marketing to work in partnership with businesses with similar ethics to achieve their goals." Lucy Lavers, MD

The clients we succeed with share the same values as us, have a clear ‘why’ which invariably is service-led, and value their budgets and our time when it comes to marketing.
No matter how tempting, we only work with those companies and clients that we can build relationships with and achieve long term success with, and for.

Our three client requirements
01
Will they care as much as we do?

The results we get in working with clients who are interested, motivated and responsive made us realise that if the client is not interested in their marketing then we aren’t the agency for them.

02
Sufficient budget?

It is not about the money it is about realistic expectations and appreciation of the work we do and services we offer.
03
Do we want to pick up the phone to them?
Basic but important. If our hearts sink every time they phone, we shouldn’t be working with them, regardless.
If the above sounds like fluffy-bunkum to you we are not the agency for you.
But, if you understand where we're coming from then we'd love to invite you for a coffee and a chat, so please get in touch
